We are from Florida, and came in late. But Kieth was awesome he satyed after hours to finish my fiance's hair color job. They were super knowledgeable and figured out that the color she wanted wasn't possible because her hair was bright pink before. Nothing but good things to say about this place.

Love this salon. Keith is great. Had long hair and he was all in when I said "chop it all off". It turned out great and was the change I needed! Everyone is so nice here and they make you feel at home. I would highly recommend it, especially to all the new folks moving to this area. As a transplant from Pittsburgh I have tried several places but this one by far is the best.

I have to say that I gave this salon very high hopes. Since in the past I have had bad haircuts. And once again that is just what happened. I asked for a certain hairstyle bought in a picture and left with nothing that I asked for. It’s like they cut it the way they wanted and didn’t listen to the customer. I am now stuck with it until it grows out. It was cute and all because it was styled and done. But once I’ve washed it and took a good look at it I can say that I am completely unsatisfied.

the worst!! the young lady who was doing my hair FRIED the hair she was bleaching and just didn't do a great job at all. she seemed to be rushing because she had someone else booked for a haircut too, so she did their hair while the bleach was sitting in my hair. she was very sweet, but she didn't even finish the job and i ended up having to pay for the whole thing anyway. i usually never complain about services since i'm not picky at all, i'm just super upset that i didn't even get a decent job done on my hair.

My daughter's regular stylist cancelled last minute in Mount Pleasant, so with a sad 6 year old we took a chance on a new salon. Briona was our stylist. I was hesitant about letting her cut my daughter's hair. I noticed she didn't section it off and cut her hair as our usual stylist would, but hey she is the professional... I have attached several pictures of my daughter's hair... You will notice it is uneven in back. It literally slants... You will notice just a total mess... she assured me she was experienced in children's hair and my daughter's hair type.... So disappointed and let down as I knew better then to try anyone other than my daughter's original stylist. I do not want a refund. I simply want you to be aware of the botched haircut your stylist gave my 6 year old..

Suna is a goddess. Tried this place for the first time today. Atmosphere is super relaxed yet professional. It is clean. I came in with 7 months of grow out from a super short pixie cut and wasn't exactly sure how to describe what I was looking for. Suna took my vague explanation and gave me EXACTLY what I wanted. Brenda did an amazing job on my walk-in over processed hair in desperate need of a root touch up. I even brought my own sweet and low so my scalp didn't burn. I love LOVE this place. They are so friendly and kind,and Suna brought my curls back to life. She knows exactly what she is doing and has been for over 30 years. My eyebrows experience was amazing as well(I wish I got his name but he did amazing on fixing my eyebrows) I highly recommend this place. The staff is really pleasant and Kim knows what she's doing! I've been there twice and both times with her. She lnows how to do layers correctly and she always does it in a way that frames my face and the layers tape down and don't look like a mullet. KIM IS AMAZING!! First time I've left a salon and loved my haircut, and first time I've gone home and not cried about how awful my haircut turned out. The reason I went back and I'll continue to return.

I've been twice now and both times I had completely destroyed my own hair and needed it fixed. Both times I had a great experience.The first time I went I had Dom and he rescued my hair from a bad bleach job that made my hair frizzy and puffy, gave me a great style, and his personality was awesome, energetic, and funny. The second time I went I had Bryce and she was amazing. My hair was beyond dead and she brought it back to life, gave it a great style and she had great energy. She's really down to earth as well and made me feel good about myself. (She's also really into video games and anime and we kind of bonded over that) The staff as a whole is just so amazing. I would recommend this place 100% and I will never go anywhere else. I'll hopefully be back soon for a professional color so I don't destroy my hair again lol.

This was my second time coloring my hair. At 60yrs old was a bit nervous. I was so shocked and excited when I left MAXX STUDIO My hair looked better than I have seen it in years. I love it. Maxx Salon delivered an exceptional experience for my best friend’s bridal party this past weekend. None of us are from Summerville, so we chose their business based off of distance to the venue, price, and google reviews. They certainly exceeded expectations. The staff was extremely friendly and engaging, made us feel like family the moment we walked in. Their positivity and fun-nature really made us enjoy the appointment. They provided us with snacks and refreshments as we got ready since it was wedding day, something we did not request nor expect, but appreciated greatly. We all loved our hair, and they even did our makeup though we asked last minute. Highly recommend for all event needs!

My son had his hair long for many years and we received a coupon in the mail upon moving to Summerville from this particular salon. When my son told me he was ready to cut his hair I was excited to use my coupon! What a great decision! Their prices are almost the same you’d see at the cheapy salons, but what I didn’t expect was their award winning attitudes and just the genuine way they treat you. The ladies here provided incredible service to both myself and my son and we couldn’t be happier!! Found my new hangout anytime I need anything done. Definitely worth paying $5 more than Walmart’s prices for quality cuts and quality service. Superb example to follow for anyone running a business. You gals ROCK!

Not the "Same old Same Sad Salon"Excellent quality, a brilliant studio with private areas and a passionate personnel. Absolutely Terrific!I brought my wife in who really needed uplifting. When we arrived they were quick to help us out, we were expecting to hear they couldn't help us because of the color transition we were attempting to make. We wanted to go from faded pink to red and yellow "fire like" coloration. This would require some of the pink to be turned into yellow without completely falling apart among other issues. After finding out that the Pink (Splat) dye she had used was a very hard type of dye to remove or work with we were starting to feel a bit hopeless. The employees reassured us that they could try, but couldn't promise anything due to the circumstances. Then they got to work fast. We showed up not long before they closed with a stressed out wife, three kids and a short tempered Dad. Normally I would have stayed home with them, but we were already out, and honestly, we didn't expect to get the job done at the time. They not only handled my heathens constant shenanigans, but kept her mellow, provided the uplifting she needed and performed the best color we could have hoped for. It was an experience my wife will surely never forget, and certainly better quality than we could have received any where, short of calling Mariah Carrey for her personal hair stylist. We will be returning here from now on. Try this place out, can't go wrong. These pictures really don't do it justice as the finished product is even styled here. You can see the pink became yellow as asked.

I have been wanting to get my hair done for a while but very nervous about it, I went to a salon last year and the hairdresser used scissors that were not even cutting my hair. I looked up and saw a billboard for Maxx Studio and then researched them online and decided to just do it. Tracy Anderson was able to fit me in shortly after I got there. I was greeted by friendly staff members and showed them a picture of what I was wanting and Tracy was so happy to offer her expertise and she made me feel comfortable right away. I am extremely happy with my cut, highlights and custom pink she created for the streaks I wanted. I will definitely be returning, I am no longer afraid to have my hair done, I will only go to Maxx Studio. Thank you Tracy for all your help and compassion towards my concerns and anxiety.

I got a cut and color from the owner Suna. I can say that this was my first time there and I didn’t receive the most welcome greeting. I arrived early checked in signed paperwork and sat down. 15 minutes after my appointment I had to go up and ask if they even checked me in. So the color probably would have covered all the way if she wouldn’t have been so rushed. I think I was triple booked she did two haircuts while my color was on. Fine totally up for multitasking as long as my hair doesn’t suffer. I then showed her a picture of the haircut I wanted she said no problem I can do this in my sleep. I thought great! No not great. She sat and complained about how her next client was there and if she didn’t hurry he would leave. Kind of left me feeling like I didn’t matter. Next issue was they are not blow drying hair but I have curly hair and she didn’t even put any product in my hair to get me out the door. I understand it’s a covid precaution but hey they didn’t even take my temperature on the way in. Thank goodness I didn’t have anywhere to go after that. I went home put product in and dried and straightened my hair to see how it looked the hair cut is so awful. It’s so uneven I haven’t worn my hair down since it was cut a week ago. I didn’t call to have it fixed because I’m not sure she is capable without me losing 3 inches throughout my head. So I won’t be back and I won’t be referring anyone to this salon. I also think they should advise client the cost of what services they will be having done.

Really like this place, was the only place I've ever gone to sign into and sign agreements about the covid. But I've been here twice in the 6 weeks over lived in Summerville and would say probably a place I'll continue to go to. I recently moved to Summerville and my original beautician is in spartanburg. I had to find one in Summerville. I searched looking for ships that had highest rating. I found this one with a high rating that had a lot of people that had been here. Do not call and just get an appointment with anyone if you are having color done. I had highlight and low light done. Person they put me with only had two years experience. Anyone knows for that kind of service you should put that person with someone with experience. My low lights bleed into my highlights. I then had to tell her how to fix it. Then after the messup they tried to charge me 150. When I called earlier and quoted 120 for my service. Let's say I will not go back. I will have to fight myself and drive to spartanburg.

I've been going to this salon for a little over a year now. At first I was impressed, but now I won't go back after my last appointment with Dom. On my appointment before my last one, he completely messed my haircut up, then he asked me on my last appointment if I went to someone else because of the cut. He did the cut, no one else. I gave him another chance because we all have days where we mess up. On my recent appointment I specifically asked for white blonde & got gray. He was very unprofessional this last appointment. He told me "I will laugh when your hair falls out" who tells a client that? Very unprofessional. I used to send everyone to this salon but I will no longer be returning myself due to the unprofessionalism. Also, I only got a partial highlight done & I get charged for a balayage with toner? That didn't make since. Everytime I went in there I was paying more & more money. Keep in mind, my hair was to my behind & I cut my hair to above my shoulders for it to be easier for him to do my hair, why am I still paying over $200?? I will NOT return to this salon after my last two recent appointments!

The crew at Maxx Studio are some of the best people you'll have the pleasure of encountering. I've been going routinely for over a year and have never been more thrilled to go and get my haircut. The staff are always a joy to be around. You can tell the owners (Suna and Murat) care a great deal about their staff and their customers. Maurice has been my guy and let me tell you-he is superlative. He's never failed to do an amazing job of 'putting lipstick on a pig' and making me feel fab-u-lous. Unfortunately due to a move I can no longer keep seeing the amazing folks here and I assure you it's one of the biggest drawbacks to having to move. Saturday, I saw Yolanda for the second time! Both times she knows exactly what I want. She listens to me and explains what would work and wouldn’t wouldn’t work. I love that she is honest and does what’s best for me. When I told her I was nervous but excited to try bangs, she immediately shot that idea down right at the front desk. I completely get why, she explained my hair wouldn't work with bangs. But I felt a bit embarrassed and stupid. When I got my conditioning treatment, I was left sitting in the chair for like an extra 15 minutes. My stylist didn't offer any water or anything like usual, and nobody took notice that I was just sitting there for a long time. They just walked by and began cleaning up for the day. She finally came back and said she had been doing someone else's hair.She was really good with explaining postpartum hair loss and we had pleasant conversation in between her talking with her husband about their dinner plans, but she didn't blow dry or style my hair after she cut it, which was a service I had specifically booked. I felt rushed out the door since I was the last one in there. When I went home, I had to hide in the bathroom and dry my hair before I let my husband see it, and I felt really disappointed and even a little embarrassed because I had been telling him all day how I was going to come home pampered with a new, pretty hair style. Overall it was just a let-down, which sucks because usually I love going there.

Being new in town and having the same stylist for 20+ years, I was worried about getting a haircut. Well, there was absolutely nothing I should be anxious about. Shay was fabulous! She listened to my wants and executed it flawlessly. The salon is clean and welcoming to clients. Highly recommend Maxx Studio as your Salon!

The stylists do good work, but I was there today and there was a front desk employee who believed she could possibly have Covid-19 and was at work with no mask not concerned for any of her fellow coworkers or clients who were coming in for a service. When I called to express my discontent I was met with an attitude of they could care less and that the employee would go and get a Covid-19 test. There was no regret or concern for their clients. Would not recommend this salon since they have shown that they could care less for their clients well-being. I will be contacting the BBB to ensure they are aware of the level of care this salon has for themselves and their clientele.

I was in and out in 5 min which shows how much care was given. I had scheduled for a 45 min blow dry and cut. I literally got the worst cut I’ve ever received, didn’t get washed or blow dried. She didn’t make sure my hair was even (it’s not), didn’t style or texturize. Was not close to what I was asking for and had to schedule an appointment with another salon to fix. Didn’t bother to ask for a fix there because I could tell she wasn’t interested in making giving a good cut and more interested in finishing it quickly. Definitely not coming back.

Never paid so much for my hair to be done. I had asked for base color and highlights and a cut. Yolanda basically gave me lowlights and a toner Cut was good and she explained things but I was charged $285 My hair is shoulder length. Never again.

I saw the reviews and was happy to go. I was a little late. I sat down and showed the stylist a pic of what I wanted. I explained all over color with highlights. I had her explain back to me what I wanted. They did not have the color but she said the could make it. I explained I wanted my hair kept around my shoulder blades. My hair is above my shoulders. No all over color. The highlights are not even the color I asked for. I went to pay with soaking wet hair and the stylist is trying to get her to add on a blow dry I didn’t have. I walked out trying not cry.. I talked to the owner who said it was an easy fix. I paid a $100 for a haircut not to what I asked for and highlights that are not even close to the color I asked for. It’s not easy to give someone 3 inches back to their hair. I was told it was a miscommunication. That was a lie.

After a less-than-stellar experience this Saturday at a walk-in chain salon, my extremely disappointed teen requested we try to get someone to fix the choppy, un-blended "bangs" and badly-layered cut with which we'd walked out. I've had two pleasant and satisfactory appointments with Dom at Maxx Studio, so I called. It was mid-afternoon on a Saturday, so I didn't hold much hope, but the receptionist was able to fit us in due to a cancellation. Julianne so kindly listened and understood immediately what we had been trying to achieve. She spent the next hour completely re-cutting, layering, and expertly blending my teen's hair, all while having a lovely conversation with them. She listened and advised and was just so kind. When we left, my teen was truly happy and so felt so seen and heard. Maxx is full of kind and understanding and talented folks, so I highly recommend them for haircuts and styles. I cannot comment on color or any other services at this time, but likely in the future. Excellent service.

I honestly have been here twice before and had Yolanda as my hair stylist, she was absolutely amazing and I so wish she was still there. This was my third time going and had a new stylist. I was already so nervous but I wanted to give it a shot, so I scheduled a partial blonde highlight with a cut and blow dry. My hair stylist was nice enough but she definitely did not give it her best. I asked several times for long layers and a trim and left with my hair not layered at all but very unevenly trimmed. It was a terrible job and I paid over $130 for it. I’m just very bummed because I like the atmosphere but I can’t pay a lot of money for hair that doesn’t meet my expectations. I’m going to have to go to a different salon to fix my hair.

Julianne was my professional stylist. I’ve never been here before and came in with an emergency color oops. My stylist Julianne totally transformed not only my hair but my confidence. For the past four years I have been hiding my scalp and hair under headbands and hats, too embarrassed to let anyone see it. I struggle with hair loss and am going through a four year process of grafting and hiding my scalp. Julianne is the first person to show me I no longer have to hide. She creatively styled my hair in a way to cover it and bring my confidence back. I will forever be coming back to her at Maxx Studio!

If you’re looking for a stylist for short hair you need to have Julieanne. She took her time and did a wonderful job very happy with my cut. For a long time I tried to find someone that could cut my hair the way I could manage it. She was great would recommend her to anyone

I had an appointment with stylist Julie Goiun today. She did a color, highlights, cut, and styling. This was the best haircut and color I have received in so many years! I couldn't be happier with how it came out. The consultation was thorough and I felt like she really listened to what I was wanting. She was an absolute professional. I was very unhappy with the experience I had at this salon. I went there Oct 8th to get 3 updos and makeup done for me and my daughters for my wedding. I know I’m a week late been on a cruise for our honeymoon. When I 1st got there the stylist acted surprised of what we was getting done even tho the reception told them I made the appointments. I made the appointments over the phone so I did personally talk to someone told her what I was wanting to get done. The 1st girl that was doing my makeup wasn’t welcoming really felt like I was an inconvenience to her she only did my foundation and airbrush. Another girl did my eyes and lips and she was nice and more pleasant to be around. I looked over to my oldest daughter the girl that did her hair seemed like she could careless too working really slow she acted the same way on my youngest daughter I swear the curls she did fell before we even left. Now the lady that did my hair was very pleasant but acted unsure of how to do my hair even tho it was pretty simple and I have long thick hair. I ended up being late to my wedding cause of how slow they was being they wasted a bunch of time talking at the receptionists desk before they ever started I made my appointment for 9 didn’t get out till almost 1. I told them repeatedly what time my wedding was but since they apparently had their own stuff going on they was working very slow. The girl that did my foundation and airbrush I’m assuming was suppose to be one of our stylist but had to get someone else’s to finish her part cause she was consistently in and out of the salon. I was very disappointed how everything turned out it was supposed to be a pleasant experience but wasn’t at all.

This was my first time at Maxx Salon and I left an extremely happy customer. I went to a previous salon before going here and the stylist botched my hair color. Suna totally transformed my hair with her highlighting technique. She took the time to listen to what I was looking for and put a lot of effort into making sure I got that look. I learned of Suna at Maxx Studio at a restaurant-- I approached a woman with the haircut I love and asked who gave her such a beautiful, precise cut. She happily told me about Suna. My first appointment with Suna was today. We spoke for a few minutes and viewed reference photos, then she quickly moved through the shampoo, cut, and blowout with absolute precision and skill. She nailed the look I wanted with ease. I appreciate the quick service-- I'm very busy and can't spend hours in the salon. Suna treats her stylists like family and the energy in the salon is wondrous because of it. The prices are very fair and a wide range of services are available. I've found my place. I went for the first time and I didn’t know what to expect at first. I got there and the studio itself is super clean and the staff is very diverse and friendly 🙂 I had Alexus who was very smart when it came to hair and told me everything I needed to know about my curls. She did a great job and was very patient with me! I was even able to pay with CashApp at the end and I was on my merry way!!! Would go back 100%

So hard to find someone to cut young boys straight thick hair. Maxx has 'Memo'. He does not understand a bit of English but he is a Turkish hair God with shears! Go see this guy for boys cuts. Hopefully Maxx will hold onto this dude. My grandson loved his hair!

This place was amazing. First time visiting and everything was wonderful. Super easy to book an appointment online. It was my daughter's first professional hair cut and Karen was amazing with her. Talked her through the whole thing. My son was scheduled to be with her as well but when she sat him down she realized he'd be a better fit with the barber Memo. I'm sure she would have been able to do a fabulous job on him as well but the fact that she was willing to say I think this might be a better fit showed how amazing this salon is where it's not just all about their business but actual customer happiness. Memo was fabulous. My son's hair has never looked better. He transformed him from little kid to the preteen he is. We will definitely be back.
